Gunfleet Sands Project Description
Transmission Capital Partners was declared prefered bidder for the Gunfleet Sands offshore transmission licence on 5 August 2010. [See Ofgem press release]. We established TC Gunfleet Sands OFTO Ltd as a special purpose company that would own the transmission assets and hold the transmission licence.
TC Gunfleet Sandsw OFTO Ltd was awarded a transmission licence and took ownership of the assets on 19 July 2011, becoming Britain's second Offshore Transmission Owner. [See Ofgem press release] . The transfer value of the assets was £49.5m.
